How Do I Test For PH Levels So I Can Have A Better Chance To Have A Boy?

By: Sandy Dean: I sometimes hear from people who are asking me how to test “their levels” in order to get a boy baby. Often, I have to ask for some clarification just to make sure that we are talking about the same issue. Because to be honest, there are a couple of things that people typically test themselves for when they are trying to conceive.

Know The Difference Between Testing For Ovulation And Testing For PH: First of all, many women decide to test for ovulation. Some people see this as an unnecessary step, but I believe that it is vital. Timing is so important when it comes to baby gender. So knowing exactly when you ovulate is of the utmost importance. You can get urine or saliva ovulation predictors to help you with this. But, please note that testing for ovulation is DIFFERENT than testing for PH. When you are testing for ovulation, you are testing your urine or your saliva for luteinizing hormone, which precedes ovulation.

PH Tests Vaginal Fluids Rather Than Urine or Saliva: When you test for PH, you are actually testing your vagina for its PH.  You are not looking for a positive or a negative to tell you whether or not ovulation has occurred. You are looking for the actual PH number which will tell you that your PH is either alkaline or acidic. Most people test this using little disposable strips that you can get at a pharmacy or online. This strips actually go inside of the vagina. It’s a pretty quick and easy process. You simply hold the small paper against the vaginal wall for a few seconds. Then you remove the strip and compare it to the chart that comes with the kit for your actual reading.  You match up the colors on the chart to get an actual number.  Now, there are also digital testers. And they work in a similar way. However, instead of having to look at a chart and match up the colors, the digital testers will give you an actual reading.  This type is the more expensive of the two, but some people find the added accuracy worth it.

PH Testing Is Only The Beginning: I want to make one thing clear though. Testing is very easy and quick. But it is only the beginning of the process. Because, there is no sense in testing and determining your actual PH if you are not going to take it a step further and make whatever adjustments are necessary to make sure that you have the optimal PH for a boy baby. An acidic PH is detrimental to boy sperm. So you want an alkaline PH. If this process indicates that you are acidic, then you will have to douche, change your diet, or both, until you get to where you need to be.

Just determining your PH isn’t always going to be enough to have the gender of your choice, unless you happen to be lucky enough to have the right PH naturally. And this is not true of most people. Many of us have to make some adjustments. It’s also important to understand this. PH is just one variable that matters. Your timing matters as does the sexual positions that you use. So make sure that you use boy friendly timing and positioning along with ensuring the correct PH.
