Which Day Of My Period Is Best For A Baby Boy?

I sometimes get quickly-written correspondence which is not all that specific.  Unfortunately, this leaves me trying to figure out what the writer is asking and how best to answer the question.  I can often make a good guess at what the person wants to know.  An example is the question: “which day of my period is the best day for a boy baby?”  As you can probably guess, this question can be interpreted in any number of ways.  The person asking could mean when during their menstrual period should they be having sex if they wanted a son.  Or, they could be asking when during their ovulation period they should have sex.  I’ll answer it both ways because both answers are actually pretty helpful in terms of getting a son.

Understanding Why Your Menstrual Period Usually Does Not Occur During Your Most Fertile Time: To be clear, your menstrual period is that time during the month when your uterus sheds its lining, causing you t0 bleed.  The bleeding typically goes on for about a week and then stops for about thirty days, when the process starts up again.   All women are different, of course.  But generally speaking, this is NOT a good time to try to conceive.  The uterus is shedding its lining because a pregnancy has not occurred.  This readies your body for the next month’s ovulation – which will happen in a couple of weeks.  The ovulation period IS when you can become pregnant, but more on that later.

Making The Most Of Your Ovulation Period: Most women do not become pregnant during their menstrual period. So this is not a good time to try to conceive and you should wait and focus your effort on another time period.  Once the bleeding has stopped, this is a good time to begin testing yourself for ovulation.  You can do this using ovulation testers.  You are looking for a positive reading that tells you that your ovulation period has started.  Once you have ovulated (which means that your egg has been released,) this is the best time for you to become pregnant.

For a boy baby, you want to have sex only AFTER you get a positive reading during your ovulation period, not your menstrual period.  Having sex after ovulation gives the boy producing sperm the best chance for success.  Having sex before you got a positive reading (indicating ovulation) is used when you want a girl baby.

Now, timing is important, but it is not the only thing that needs to be considered. To have the best chance of success, you will also want to address your PH and the sexual positions that you use.  All of these things are meant to give the Y or boy producing sperm the advantage in the race to the egg.  If you want to read about specifics on how to achieve these things, here are a few free websites.  If you want a boy, check out  http://conceive-a-boy-baby.com If you want a girl baby, see http://conceive-a-girl-baby.com
